Failure

The potential of failure has always held a central role in the project and served as a motivator for creativity. Having the time to learn from failure and to be inspired from it was a privilege when building a mesh network outside of urgent crisis (while recognizing that the neighbourhood surrounding the garden has been in urgent crisis continually while we developed the project).

Perhaps the most obvious way in which failure operated throughout the project was in the following of tangents that may have appeared to push the project slightly off track. This resulted in a sense of imagining forward and then coming back full circle to where we ultimately began. While at times we may have imagined a scale that was beyond our reach, in the end, "this mesh begins as a stolon (a community mesh network)" focused in and around the x̱aw̓s shew̓áy̓ New Growth《新生林》 Garden that initially (and continually) inspired it.
